Dr. Neal Patel, DDS, MSD
Dr. Neal Patel, DDS, MSD, is a periodontist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized care. With a focus on periodontal health, implant therapy, and esthetic and regenerative procedures, Dr. Patel helps patients achieve healthy, functional, and confident smiles through evidence-based treatment and advanced clinical techniques.
Dr. Patel earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nova Southeastern University before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was recognized among the top 5% of his class. He also received the prestigious Grover C. Hunter Award for Periodontal Clinical Excellence and participated in numerous leadership, service, research, and teaching initiatives throughout dental school.
Dr. Patel completed his specialty training in Periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he earned both a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. During residency, he served as Chief Resident, helping coordinate clinical operations and mentoring junior residents. Dr. Patel received advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, dental implant therapy, soft tissue grafting, bone regeneration, sinus augmentation, esthetic periodontal surgery, peri-implantitis treatment, extractions and ridge preservation, full-arch implant rehabilitation, and digital treatment workflows. Dr. Patel is also trained in oral and IV moderate sedation.
Committed to continued growth and high-quality patient care, Dr. Patel has actively participated in professional education through the American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, South Carolina Society of Periodontics, and advanced surgical and implant-focused programs. He is eligible to be a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Patel enjoys playing golf, exploring the NYC restaurant scene, spending time with family and friends, and watching the New York Yankees.
